Hey guys! 😊

My name is Shay and my favorite snacks at the moment are pickles and takis, I can’t seem to get enough of those! Safe to say I am addicted. 🥒🤤

As the marketing coordinator here at FlipNpik, I love discovering new places and supporting local businesses just like my colleagues. I decided to share my number one spot of the month with you so you can discover my most memorable and epic experience.

Why read me? Simply because I’m into trendy places that I know for sure you would love to discover. I love to wine and dine, I think it has become a passion.🍷🍽

Now that the restaurants are open I can finally reveal my top secret spots.

So let’s get into it! Welcome to Shay’s fav spot of the month!

Of course February is known for Valentine’s day❤️ and the place I am going to share with y’all is this authentic japanese place I tried on the 14th. This month’s spot is called Bistro Otto located in Downtown Montreal. Not only is it local and true to Japanese culture, it’s also to die for! We tried the seven course meal all chosen by the chef himself. It was sooooo good and perfect to celebrate Valentine’s day. Everything we tried was fresh and like nothing we had ever seen👀 or tasted👅!

From the fresh fish sashimi🐟 to the uni carbonara🍜, we were eating our hearts out! In case you didn’t know, uni is actually a sea urchin and I have to confess it was my first time trying it! I loved it. It has a bright orange color and it tasted like mango to me! LOL, I wonder if I am the only one who thinks that haha. You are going to have to give it a try to find out!

There aren’t many seats but the places at the bar are the best for a personalized experience. You can see the chef working his art right in front of you. The sushi was so tasty and the sashimi melted in my mouth🍣 Amazing, I know right! The experience was unique and our waitress was very nice and knew exactly what to recommend, especially when she told us to try the side of brussel sprouts! I know what you are thinking : Brussel sprouts at a Japanese restaurant? Don’t ask, just order. Trust me!😉

I can’t wait to go back! The whole experience was great and I will always remember this special day.❤️

We will meet again in March for my next local adventure where I will be sharing a secret with you… but you’re gonna have to wait for our second date. I can only share that much with you guys for this time 🤐

My stomach is very excited! I hope yours is too🤗

See you next month
