Three good reasons to share your local favorites with the community on FlipNpik

It will soon be a year that I regularly share my local favorites on the FlipNpik social media. As the weeks went by, I noticed some new features added to the application. I wanted to share them with you because they allow both ambassadors and visitors to the platform to enjoy an even more complete experience, while promoting local businesses, local products and inspiring the community. If you haven't heard of the FlipNpik app yet (available on the App Store and Google Play), here are three good reasons to give it a try.

1. Discover new businesses with the Surprise Box

On my last trip to Montreal, I opened the Surprise Box and was thrilled to discover all the offers that were waiting for me: a one-day ticket to La Ronde or the Alouettes game, a monthly BIXI pass, movie tickets, gift cards and much more! Not only does it give me ideas for activities I hadn't thought of, but it also allows me to spoil myself and live new experiences!

It's easy to take advantage of it: all you have to do is contribute to the application by sharing your local favorites, by "liking" or by recommending businesses. You'll earn Social Flips that you can then redeem in the Surprise Box. Check it regularly to make sure you don't miss out on any new offers.

2. Share your profile, posts or even the app with your friends easily

Whether you're new to the platform or a FlipNpik regular, you've probably noticed how many discoveries can be made in over 40 cities in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada! Whether you're planning your next trip or just want to fall in love with your own city, it's the perfect application to find your next gourmet outing, learn about the best places to store, plan a family activity or find a unique place to stay overnight.

Why not share the app with your friends to inspire them to buy local? You'll find an icon of a profile with a + on the application. By inviting your friends to download the app, you'll receive 10,000 Social Flip for every use of your referral code, which in turn will allow you to claim free products in the Surprise Box. How cool is that?

Another feature I really like is the one that allows us to share a profile or a post. When you view a post or profile, did you notice the arrow in the upper right corner? This feature allows you to share any publication in a few seconds by text, email or on social networks.

When I make a great discovery, I use this option to share it with my friends and family and it's super convenient! For example, when I discover a new restaurant or an activity that I've never tried before, I send it to my friends. In one click, it allows me to plan my next evening with unique activities for all tastes!

3. Add your social links to your profile

Finally, when I check out a profile whose posts interest me, I'm always curious to learn more about the ambassador or user, whether it's through their Instagram profile, blog or YouTube channel. By subscribing to their other platforms, it allows me to connect with other passionate content creators and interact with them in more ways than one!

Upon becoming an ambassador, I myself added my social links to my Instagram account, where I share other local favorites, including short videos. I also added the link to my website, where I share blog posts about my experiences with local restaurants, accommodations or businesses.

So, when you discover an ambassador who reaches out to you through their photos or posts, don't hesitate to share your interest with them - who knows, you might even meet some new acquaintances who will become good friends!

I love how the FlipNpik app is constantly evolving to offer us new ways to encourage local. Whether you're an ambassador for your city or just checking out the platform for fun, there's so much great stuff coming up... you don't want to miss it!
